President / Chief Investment Officer
Mr. Steinberg became Chief Investment Officer in 2017 and President in August, 1997. He served as Executive Vice President and Director of Research for Atalanta Sosnoff since 1994. Mr. Steinberg has been a Portfolio Manager since 1988. Prior to joining Atalanta Sosnoff in 1985 as an Analyst, Mr. Steinberg was a Securities Analyst at Prudential Equity Management. Mr. Steinberg earned a BSE degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1983. Mr. Steinberg is an equity owner of the firm.

Robert (Bob) Ruland, CFA
Co-Chief Investment Officer of Equities/Director of Research

Mr. Ruland joined Atalanta Sosnoff as a Research Analyst in April, 2002 and was promoted to the Investment Policy Committee in January of 2006 and was named Co-Chief Investment Officer of Equities in December 2023. He was formerly a Research Analyst at Eagle Growth Investors, LLC.  Previously, he was a Research Analyst at Lehman Brothers and Banc of America Securities.  Mr. Ruland earned a B.S. degree in Finance from the State University of New York at Albany in 1990 and an M.B.A. from New York University in 1995.  Mr. Ruland is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder. Mr. Ruland is an equity participant of the firm.

Matthew (Matt) Ward
Co-Chief Investment Officer of Equities

Mr. Ward joined Atalanta Sosnoff as Senior Technology Analyst in September, 2018.  Mr. Ward was promoted to Portfolio Manager in February 2021 and was named Co-Chief Investment Officer of Equities in December 2023. Prior to joining the firm, he was Head of US Large Cap (since 2014), Co-Fund Manager (since 2014), and Equity Analyst (since 2005) for Schroder Investment Management’s US Large Cap strategy.  Previously, he was an Equity Analyst at Phoenix-Engemann and Franklin Templeton.  Mr. Ward earned a B.A. in Economics and English from Georgetown University in 1995.  Mr. Ward is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder. Mr. Ward is an equity participant of the firm.

Brian Turner

Brian Turner
Senior Vice President / Senior Research Analyst
Mr. Turner joined Atalanta Sosnoff as Senior Analyst in August, 2021. Prior to joining the firm, he held the position of Senior Analyst at Levin Easterly/Levin Capital Strategies, working there for thirteen years. Preceding that, Mr. Turner was Senior Vice President and Investment Officer during his twelve year tenure at J&W Seligman. Mr. Turner earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Maine in 1992.

Joseph V. Sileo, Jr., CFA
Managing Director/ Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager

Mr Sileo joined Atalanta Sosnoff in March 2004 as a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager where his duties include marketing, client service, asset allocation and fixed income portfolio management. He is the Co-Director of Core Fixed strategies. Prior to joining the Company he served as Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at Harbor Capital, Alliance Capital, Shields Asset Management and the Bank of New York.  Mr. Sileo earned a B.A. from SUNY Oswego and an M.B.A from Pace University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Jerry Thunelius
Managing Director/ Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager

Mr. Thunelius has over 26 years of broad investment experience in fixed income portfolio management, trading and risk management. At Atalanta Sosnoff Mr. Thunelius serves as Managing Director and the Co-Director of Core strategies. Previously, he served in many other roles delivering top peer group performance rankings in years like 1998, 2008, and has received top performing Portfolio Manager awards across various strategies including mortgages, governments, Core, Core Plus, Strategic Global Income, and low duration strategies. He has worked with major publications, including Barron’s, Fortune, the Wall Street Journal, as well as a guest contributor to Forbes, and has appeared on Bloomberg TV. He earned his BBA in Finance from Dowling College.

Robert Ohanesian
Director/ Fixed Income Portfolio Manager
Prior to joining Atalanta, Mr. Ohanesian served in the positions of CEO and CIO of Fixed Income at ICC Capital Management. Prior to that, Mr. Ohanesian was President of Ryan Labs in New York; served as CEO and CIO of Harbor Capital Management in Boston; established and served as President and Chief Portfolio Strategist of MBIA Capital Management; and was Chief fixed income strategist/portfolio manager for Shields Asset Management, a division of Alliance Capital Management. Mr. Ohanesian also served as Deputy Director for the 1980 Olympic Winter Games. He received his BA from Clemson University and has a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Ohanesian has served as assistant professor of finance at the Lubin Graduate School of Business at Pace University.
